Trauma

The Socialized Self

Within you there is already a felt knowing that you are whole and worthy of being seen, heard, and honored first and foremost by you. You matter. Your journey here matters for all of us. You are a wave in the sea of humanity and all that is, influencing others unconsciously, shaping your experience with your beliefs, attention, and actions.

We forget our importance as a result of our conditioning throughout this human lifetime. Shaped in utero by the experiences of our biological mother and those around her and influenced by the actions of our ancestors, we are allowing life and expansion of consciousness to move through us.

When we pay attention and contextualize our present moment experiences we are able to be intentional with our words and actions. We become our healer and a healer of the world.

We are taught how to betray ourselves before we can even speak in order to meet the expectations of others in our primary groups of socialization. We learn from these families, peers, teachers, social media, mass media, and other institutions that we are not enough. In order to feel that we are enough we are asked to please them by doing or being what they envision us to be in order to keep their perception of reality in tact.

We are largely unaware of how these conditioned patterns of self-betrayal have impacted how we perceive and treat ourselves and others from moment to moment,

Trauma informed therapy empowers and enables you to consciously decide which thoughts and emotions you want to give power to in service of your wellness and which you are ready to dissolve in loving conscious awareness. Feel more connected, grounded, and at ease with decision making as life continuously and unpredictably ebbs and flows.
